Bleeding Nails

Causes: Trimming nails that have not been maintained or nails that have grown too long are quite often quicked.  This means the nails were trimmed into the nail bed, which causes them to bleed.  If this happens, it will actually cause the nail bed to grow back toward the foot allowing the nails to be trimmed shorter the next time.  However, it is necessary to treat the nail properly and quickly to stop the bleeding.
